When 2010 is all said and done, I have a feeling Wiz Khalifa will be my favorite rapper rise this year.  He’s definitely not new to the game in any sense though, with mixtapes going back to 2005, he’s finally getting he recognition he deserves. Mixing smooth original beats with drug soaked lyrics, the Pittsburg based rapper has kept me looking for anything new all year.

With a new album coming soon off Atlantic Records and new single thats already dropped on the youtubes “Black and Yellow”, DJ C.Notez decided to compile a mixtape called “Keep One Rolled” to showcase his exploits from this year. Not an official release by Wiz himself, this mixtapes has been all I’ve been listening to for the last few days.  Featuring some new stuff, some remixes to his old stuff, and all the guest spots he did this year with artist like Rick Ross and Wale, the mixtape keeps your head bobbing from start to finish. And the best part of it all, it’s free.

   

He’s on tour right now so keep an eye out for him to be in a city near you soon, and make sure to procure his upcoming CD which should be coming out sometime this year or early next.
